Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of IBM MQ Native HA functionality

    Platforms affected:
Linux on x86-64, Linux on S390, Linux on Power

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error existed whereby a native HA queue manager could
incorrectly calculate the position of the previous log record
written. A theoretical timing window exists at this point
whereby the log record could be partially overwritten.

Such data loss has not been observed outside of lab conditions.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ native HA log handling logic has been updated to
correctly track the position of the previous log record.
