Error description

  • It may be noted that IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) maps that
    end creating invalid output data do not generate a correct
    return on the contentreturn of the audit log for the appropriate
    output card.

    When the <ExecutionSummary> shows mapreturn="14" and
    <Message>One or more outputs was invalid</Message>, at least one
    of the output cards should show the 14 code in content return.

    For example:

    <outputstatus   card="1"   bytes="12"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="0"/>
    <outputstatus   card="2"   bytes="34"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="14"/>
    <outputstatus   card="3"   bytes="56"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="0"/>

    Instead all output cards show 0 in content return:

    <outputstatus   card="1"   bytes="12"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="0"/>
    <outputstatus   card="2"   bytes="34"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="0"/>
    <outputstatus   card="3"   bytes="56"   adapterreturn="0"
    contentreturn="0"/>

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
    IBM Transformation Extender users using output validation and
    audit.

    Problem Description:
    Audit log shows contentreturn="0" for a card where we should
    have contentreturn="14"

    Platforms Affected:
    All

Problem conclusion

  • Correct processing of "contentreturn" field in audit when
    message "One or more outputs was invalid" is produced.
    Previously it was always zero. Now it has the correct value of
    14.
