Error description

  • Implementing a new Application that receives DFHPI0002 (code
    x'3307') in module DFHPIJG.
    .
    The first time through the Application things fail with an AEXZ
    after calling EXEC CICS TRANSFORM DATATOJSON on the second run
    of the application CICS abends with a PI0002 x'3307' due to a
    corrupt ICM.

    There's an issue with a MVCL command during the rewrite process
    for the Buffer Overflow error that corrupts the ICM.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: AEXZ occurs during the first call to *
    * EXEC CICS TRANSFORM DATATOJSON. After *
    *                      that it abends with a PI0002 severe     *
    *                      error.                                  *
    ****************************************************************
    Application calls EXEC CICS TRANSFORM DATATOJSON to convert a
    data structure into a JSON format. This references a JSBIND
    file within a Bundle to handle the transformation. During the
    first use of the JSBIND file it is loaded as an ICM into
    internal storage and manipulated. Due to the size of the ICM
    the manipulation of the ICM fails during an MVCL call. This
    leads to the application abending with an AEXZ.

    If the application is called again then it will abend with a
    PI0002 severe error.

Problem conclusion

  • UI76445, UI76446

    DFHPIJS has been updated to ensure the manipulation code works
    correctly.
