  • Case: TS008997362
    Reference: https://jsw.ibm.com/browse/CACON-3106

    Logging the apar for the above JIRA item after
    @george.xu@ca.ibm.com requested.

    The following callstack observed and CA http connection pool is
    exhausted and the customer needs to restart the system hourly to
    keep going. Investigating the root cause.
    attached one victim thread - not sure if the thread stack caused
    the leak.

    The following callstack is likely the cause.

    com.ibm.bi.content.appres.palettes.CaRestGenDocSearcher.listPubl
    ic()Lcom/ibm/bi/json/JsonArray;
    (CaRestGenDocSearcher.java:43(Compiled Code))

    (PaletteResource.java:68)
    at

    [Ljava/lang/Object;)Ljava/lang/Object; (null)

    Files from Jira item has been uploaded as well however
    content-service.war file was too big to be uploaded to this
    APAR.

Local fix

  • Provided a new content-service.war file and this solved the
    connection pool leak issue.
