Additional ACTION HOLD items for PH52702 ( SPE10102 or 10.1 SPE02 ) for z Workload Scheduler 10.1

Question & Answer

Question

Are there any additional ACTION HOLD items related to APAR PH52702  ( SPE10102  also known as SPE 10102 and 10.1 SPE02  )?
The PTFs for SPE02 are UI92840, UI92841 plus language PTFs UI92861 (Korean), UI92862 (German ), UI92863 (Kanji), UI92864 (Spanish)

Answer

Update October 27, 2023
Note that it is required that you first apply the PTFs for APAR PH52702 ( SPE2 )  on the Z controller and servers, then on any other components. If you do the reverse, unpredictable errors might occur.
This same requirement was in the ACTION HOLD for APAR PH45777 (SPE1).
Also for the latest information concerning the HIPER PH53120 see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7022497

Update August 12, 2023:
There is a new HIPER APAR PH53120 that must be applied if SPE02 ( SPE10102 ) is applied to prevent an issue with incomplete
successor resolution processing at  dynamic occurrence add  ( MCP ).  The PTF is UI93108.

This technote will be revised if additional information becomes available.
However if you are going to put SPE10102 in effect at the same time as SPE10101 (APAR PH45777, PTFs UI83377 and UI83378)  or
if you are going to migrate to the 10.1 release of z Workload Scheduler with both SPE10101 and SPE10102 applied, be sure
to review the technote related to SPE10101:   https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6840355 .
