Question
Something is randomly and automatically updating the tm1s.cfg file of some TM1 servers.
These parameters suddenly appear in that file:
EventLogging=T
EventThreshold.ThreadRunningTime=1500
EventThreshold.ThreadWaitingTime=300
What is causing this change, and why?
Cause
IBM Planning Analytics Administration Agent is responsible for this modification.
Answer
This modification occurs when a first alert is created on a specific TM1 server, through Planning Analytics Workspace Administration page.
If these entries in tm1s.cfg are manually removed afterward, then they are added again when any modifications occur on the existing alerts.
