Error description

  • With the /CCFMOD online change procedure, CCF determines the
success or failure of the /MOD PREPARE command by the DFS
message that was included in the command response.
However, when Managed ACBs is enabled, CCF receives an
unexpected DFS3780I message. As a result, when an online change
job using the /CCFMOD online change procedure was executed in
the managed ACBs environment, CCF determined that the /MOD
PREPARE command had failed and terminated the online change job
without issuing a /MOD COMMIT command.
Also, in addition, if the command retry option is specified, the
online change job will terminate without issuing the /MOD COMMIT
command after the /MOD PREPARE command is retried.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
If the following conditions are met, since the IMS Command
Control Facility determines incorrectly that the /MOD PREPARE
command is not issued successfully, a batch job to perform
automatic online change processing (/CCFMOD) unexpectedly
    terminates.
    - APPC/IMS or IMS OM is specified for Command Routing Technique
      in CCF IMS System Information.
    - IMS Managed ACBs is enabled.
If Command Retry Options is specified in CCF Global Options,
IMS Command Control Facility retries the /MOD PREPARE command.
When APPC/IMS is specified, the CCF0331E and CCF0335E messages
are output, and when IMS OM is specified, the CCF7421E message
    is output.
The batch job terminates with ABEND U4070 or a non-zero return
code, according the specification of /CCFMOD Failures in CCF
    Global Options.
