IBM Support

Cursor support is not an implemented feature for SQL Server Parallel DataWarehousing TDS endpoint error when executing a SQL query in Planning Analytics

Troubleshooting

Problem

This happens when MSSQL is on Azure.
Within Planning Analytics, when you execute a simple query, it errors saying: Error executing SQL query.

Symptom

If you look at the corresponding tm1server.log, you see: Cursor support is not an implemented feature for SQL Server Parallel DataWarehousing TDS endpoint.

Resolving The Problem

There were some ODBC changes made in Planning Analytics version 2.0.9.13 and above. If you are using any of those versions, as a workaround, you can add the following line to the top of your query:
SET NOCOUNT ON
