Error description

  • Starting with version 10.1.11, IBM Spectrum Protect Plus allows
    to backup Microsoft SQL database logs using a SLA.
    That type of log backup is called the advanced log backup
    approach as compared to the common log approach that consist of
    the agent creating a schedule locally on the Microsoft SQL
    server to save the backups periodically.
    In an AlwaysOn Availability Group (AAG), if an error happens
    while checking the Log Sequence Number (LSN) on any of the nodes
    part of the group, the log backup using the advanced log backup
    approach can fail even if that check is successful on the active
    node.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem has been fixed so that when SQL log backup fails to
