Setting the Home page to a dashboard or report removes access to custom folders

Troubleshooting

Problem

Setting the home page to a dashboard or report removes access to all home page links or custom folders.

Symptom

All custom folders are removed from view and clicking the home icon doesn't change the view.

Cause

Our use of the terminology "home" can cause confusions to users when used in the features "Set as home" and when creating extensions.

Resolving The Problem

In an extension, setting the "perspective": "home" means that, in this case the custom buttons will appear in the welcome page:
http://<servername>:9300/bi/?perspective=home

If a dashboard is set as home, it is still a dashboard perspective so a user would need to specify "perspective": "dashboard"
If they want the customisations to appear on all perspectives, they can update the extension with the value "perspective": "common"
i.e:http://<servername>:9300/bi/?perspective=common
