Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users with APAR PH24850 applied. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CICS translator always issues *
    *                      a LOAD for module DFHEITBS.             *
    ****************************************************************
The CICS translator is only supposed to load the
Systems Programming Interface (SPI) language table DFHEITBS
when the 'SP' translator option is specified.
This allows development environments to limit usage
of the SPI to authorised users.
However, the translator is ALWAYS loading DFHEITBS, regardless
of the setting of the 'SP' option.
This means that all translator executions are subjected to
any security checking that is dependent on the load of
    DFHEITBS.

Problem conclusion

  • UI70389 UI70390 UI78834 UI78835
The CICS translator has been changed, so that it only
loads DFHEITBS if the 'SP' translator option has been
    specified.
