Error description

  • PM.STARTMEASURE and PM.ENDMEASURE fields on the PM do not revert
back to Asset values after the Feature is removed from the
Asset; it is expected that these fields will re-populate with
the Asset values instead of keeping the Feature values in these
fields. The impact to the User is that incorrect values are now
persistent in the PM.STARTMEASURE and PM.ENDMEASURE fields on
the PM for the Linear Asset.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Log in to maxdemo instance
    Create a Linear Asset:
    2. Go To Assets | Assets
    3. In the Asset field enter "LA-1"
    4. In the Description field enter "Linear Asset 1"
    5. Click the checkbox for "Linear?"
    6. In the LRM field | Select Value | click FEET
    7. In the Start Measure field enter 0
    8. In the End Measure field enter 5280
    9. Save the record
    10. Common Actions | Change Status
    11. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click Active
    12. Click OK
Add a Feature to the Linear Asset:
    13. On the Features tab click the New Row button
    14. In the Feature field | Detail Menu | Select Value | click MP

    15. In the Label field enter "Mile Marker 1"
    16. In the Linear Segment Details section | Start section |
Measure field | enter 2,640 and tab out
    17. In the Linear Segment Details section | End section | verify
that the default value populates with Start Measure value
    18. Save the record
Create and Activate a PM for the Feature:
    19. Go To Preventive Maintenance | Preventive Maintenance
    20. Common Actions | New PM
    21. In the PM field enter "LA-1"
    22. In the Description field enter "PM for Linear Asset 1"
    23. In the Asset field enter "la-1" and tab out
    24. In the Linear Segment Details section, verify that the
Measure field values (0.00, 5,280.00) from the Linear Asset have
populated the Start and End Measure fields

    25. In the Feature field | Detail Menu | click MP
    26. In the Linear Segment Details section, verify that the
Measure field values (2,640.00, 2,640.00) from the Feature have
updated the Start and End Measure fields
    27. Save the record
    28. Common Actions | Change Status
    29. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click Active
    30. Click OK
Delete the Feature from the Linear Asset:
    31. Go To Assets | Assets
    32. In the Asset field enter "la-1" and press Enter
    33. Click LA-1 to open the record
    34. On the Features tab click the trashcan icon for the MP
    Feature to delete the row
    35. Save the record
    View the PM:
    36. Go To Preventive Maintenance | Preventive Maintenance
    37. In the PM field enter "la-1" and press Enter
    38. Click to open LA-1
    39. In the Linear Segment Details section view the values in the
Measure fields for Start and End

    RESULT:

The Start and End Measure values remain from the Feature

    EXPECTED RESULT:

User should not be able to delete the feature if it is available
    in a PM record.

System Message appears, "BMXAA6316E - The asset-feature is used
as a reference to define PM."

The Start and End Measure values will keep same as Feature
    values.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:

Local fix

  • Update the AssetFeature relationship to PM named LNRPM; set the
