Problem
Not able to access the ISO images Linux directory
Symptom
Error:
Function install_vmware_tools
Mount: special device /dev/cdrom does not exist
Mount: failed, please select the guest for install vmware tools via the vmware client

Cause
For RHEL 7 and beyond open-vm-tools became the 'recommended' utility and vmware stopped providing the utility on Linux in its later releases.
Patch greater than p410 Guardium includes open-vm-tools in the bundle.
Diagnosing The Problem
Guardium Install of 11.405 and below can be impacted.

Resolving The Problem
- We can patch this appliance to p410 or above; this will install the open-vm-tools package on the OS.
- You can work with your vmware administrator to obtain a Linux ISO for vmware tools. In most vmware environments this will need to be uploaded to a Data store which can then be mounted to the vm and then installed using the command provided previously
