TEPS configuration does not complete after upgrading to ITM 6.3 FP7 SP7 or later.

Troubleshooting


Problem

With IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 7 or later, Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server configuration does not complete.
The message "... runung InstallPresentation.sh" appears.
However, the message "... InstallPresentation.sh completed" dose not appear.

Symptom

The following messages appears:
- logs/logs/kfwjras1.log

Caused by: java.security.ProviderException: jgskit (Not found in java.library.path)

Cause

When the environment is upgraded to IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 7 or later, Java Runtime Environment is upgraded to 1.8.0 SR6 FP25 or later.
The Java Runtime Environment requires libraries under $KFW_EWAS_HOME$/java/jre/lib/icc.

Environment

Between IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 7 and Service Pack 12.
Java Runtime Environment 1.8.0 SR6 FP25 or later.

Resolving The Problem

Add the library path with the following steps:
  1. Make a backup of file <install dir>/config/cq.ini.
  2. Open the file <install dir>/config/cq.ini with a text editor and locate the "LIBPATH=" statement.
  3. Append the following to the end of the LIBPATH string and save the file (make sure the leading colon character is included):
:$KFW_EWAS_HOME$/java/jre/lib/icc
Note: The library path is added by installing IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 13.
