Error description

  • DFHWS-REMOTECA container is created in the TOR and sent across
    to the AOR. This container should only be used when the target
    application in the AOR is invoked using a commarea. It should
    not be used when the program is invoked with a channel. The
    DFHWS-REMOTECA container is created and the size is set to the
    largest of the request and response structures. This container
    could be quite large and has to be transfered to the AOR and
    back again.

    Creating of the DFHWS-REMOTECA container should be avoided when
    invoking a channel based target program.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Container is sent unnecessarily to *
    * remote system when calling a remote *
    * program from a SOAP web service with *
    *                      PGMINT=channel.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    Container DFHWS-REMOTECA is sent to the remote CICS region when
    a remote program on that region is called by a SOAP web service
    where PGMINT=channel; the remote region never reads this
    container and it is never read when sent back to the calling
    region. As such, it is unnecessary to create and send this
    container.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been fixed so that the container is not sent when
    PGMINT=channel.
