Error description

  • Overriding the ServiceFactory
    created by javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory.newinstance() by
    setting the javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory Java System Property
    to a non-default value results in WS-Transaction
    initialization failures.

    A message is generated in SystemOut of the form:

    WSWS1033W: Java class
    com.ibm.ws.Transaction.wstx.WSATSOAPClientHandler that is
    specified for handler WSATSOAPClientHandler cannot be loaded.
    The handler is skipped. The exception is
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    WS-Transactions components require the application
    server's default implementation of the
    javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory class.  If the
    javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory Java system property is used to
    change the ServiceFactory implementation returned by the
    javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory.newInstance() method, then a
    ClassCastException causes the WS-Transaction initialization to
    fail.

Problem conclusion

  • The WS-Transaction components were modified to access the
    applicationn server's default javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory
    implementation independently of the
    javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory Java system property.
