IT42404: APPLICATION SERVER INVENTORY JOB FOR ORACLE SERVER CANNOT DISCOVER INSTANCE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect application server inventory job for Oracle
  server is unable to get Oracle homes. The job log shows:
  
  
  CTGGF0088,[<oracle-server>] Unable to collect the Oracle Homes
  from inventory <inventory_loc>.
  
  
  There are multiple Oracle homes and they are configured in
  inventory.xml file. For example,

  <HOME NAME="OracleHome2" LOC="<ora-home2-path>" TYPE="O"
  IDX="5"/>
  
  The Oracle home processing fails early if there is an issue with
  an Oracle home. For example, if one Oracle home misses cemutlo,
  the appdiscovery command.log shows:

  This causes the agent to stop processing Oracle homes. The

  If an Oracle database resides in an Oracle home that was not
  processed due to the error, that database will not be discovered
  due to the missing Oracle home information.

Problem conclusion
