Troubleshooting
Problem
Unable to create a new report that uses a particular Planning Analytics cube. Other Planning Analytics cubes on the same Planning Analytics server are working fine in Cognos Analytics.
Symptom
The package does not load, instead an error is displayed creating a new report.
"The latest package information could not be loaded. The package this report is referencing may no longer exist. Package metadata is required for proper operation of the user interface. Certain elements of the report definition may not be viewable or editable."
Cause
There is no default measure defined in the Planning Analytics cube.
Diagnosing The Problem
Data source tests successfully in Cognos Administration.
New package can be created from Cognos Administration successfully but not opened in report authoring.
Create a data server connection in the new UI.
Attempt to create a new data module from the data server connection and a different error is displayed.
MSR-GEN-0002 Error:"XTR-MET-0006 The cube <cube name> does not contain a measure dimension."
Resolving The Problem
- In TM1 Architect
- Right-click on the cube and select "Properties"
- Fill in the "Measure dimension" field.
- Re-create the package in Cognos Analytics
