BMXAA4187E - The relationship ASSET does not exist for business object INSPECTIONRESULT

Troubleshooting

Problem

An error is displayed when you open the Inspection app:

BMXAA4187E - The relationship ASSET does not exist for business object INSPECTIONRESULT. Verify that the relationship specified in parameter ASSET exists in the Maxrelationship table.

Cause

The error happens because the Maximo 7.6.1.2 interim fix 21 doesn’t have the ASSET relationship to the INSPECTIONRESULT object.

It has a relationship called ASSETS and that missing relationship is causing the issue.

Resolving The Problem

- Go to the Database Configuration app
- Search for INSPECTIONRESULT
- Go to the Relationship tab
- Create a relationship called ASSET, copying the child object (ASSET) and the query clause from the ASSETS one (query clause: assetnum=:asset and orgid=:orgid and siteid=:siteid)
- Reload the Inspection Roled Based Application or close and reopen the Maximo Mobile application.

This issue is resolved on Maximo 7.6.1.2 interim fix 22 and Maximo Mobile 8.7 interim fix 5.
