Error description

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environment - Data
    Protection for VMware VMCLI is opening an infinite number of
    client sessions on the IBM Spectrum Protect Server until the
    maximum number of sessions on the IBM Spectrum protect Server is
    reached. This issue is triggered when a user is logged in to the
    IBM Spectrum Protect for VMware user interface or the vCenter
    plugin.
    
    
    Vmcli log shows:
    ANS1351E (RC51) Session Rejected: All server sessions are
    currently in use
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect for
    Virtual Environment - Data Protection for VMware 8.1.14 and
    higher on all supported platforms.

Problem conclusion

  • The issue has been fixed, so vmcli sessions will not cause max
