APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to Item Master application.
    2. Create a new item.
    3. Add the item to two different storerooms (eg. HARDWARE and
    CENTRAL) in the same site, each with a current balance of 1 and
    Issue Unit of EACH.
    4. Change the item's status to Active, leaving the Roll New
    Status to Organizations and Inventory? box checked.
    5. Go to Work Order Tracking application and create a new WO.
    6. Go to the Plans tab and add two rows to the Materials
    sub-tab.
    7. Both rows will have the item from step 2 and a Quantity of 1,
    but each from a different storeroom (one from HARDWARE and other
    from CENTRAL).
    8. Approve the WO.
    9. Go to Actuals tab and, from the Materials sub-tab, click
    Select Reserverd Items.
    10. Check both item rows from the dialog and click OK.
    11. Save.
    
    
    RESULT:
    Error "BMXAA3496E - Trouble processing item BMLINE. Cause: The
    balance in the bin will become negative as a result of this
    transaction.." is thrown, making it necessary for the user to
    add a row, save, then add the other one.
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    WO to be saved after adding 2 rows at once, without having to
    save in-between rows.
