Abstract

The MIRROR_COMPARE_NODE procedure populates a result table with one or more rows for each object in every library on the source node that is different from the same object on the target node. The comparison operation are performed against replicated objects that are found in all libraries in SYSBAS, for all libraries in the current IASP, or for all libraries in SYSBAS and all active IASPs.

The objects compared return a value that is not EXCLUDE or INELIGIBLE from the QSYS2.CHECK_REPLICATION_CRITERIA function. For replication-eligible objects, coparisons are made against the definitional attributes of the object, the data contained in the object, or both. Only *FILE, *USRIDX, *USRSPC, *DTAQ, and *OUTQ objects support data comparisons. A value of YES or QUICK must be specified for at least one of the compare-attributes or compare-data parameters.

  • Compare the RESTRICT ON DROP attribute introduced in IBM i 7.5 for SQL functions, procedures, and table database objects.

  • Compare the FILE_LEVEL_ID attribute for replicated database objects.
  • Compare the internal attribute used by Db2 Mirror that indicates that replicated database objects contain rows with tracked changes.
  • This enhancement requires an active version for the COMPARE-SERVICES version entry of at least 1.2 to fully enable. See COMPARE-SERVICES version entry for more details.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.5 Base & IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 19 and SF99704 Level 20]:

  • Modified the authorization required by the MIRROR_COMPARE_NODE procedure to require *ALLOBJ special authority.
  • Compare AUTHORITY_LIST, AUTHORITY_LIST_MANAGEMENT, and PRIMARY_GROUP attributes for replicated database objects.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 11 and SF99704 Level 14]:

  • MIRROR_COMPARE_NODE procedure enhanced to support comparisons of *USRIDX, *USRSPC, and *DTAQ object types.
