New features and other changes in Rational ClearQuest version 10.0.0.x

• Support for containers and for rolling upgrades and roll backs using the new ClearQuest Helm Chart. 

User Interface modernization 

• ClearQuest v10.0 introduces a new user interface based on REST APIs which enables new enhancements throughout the product. 

Iteration and Kanban boards 

• The new user interface presents your data using Kanban boards.  This functionality allows you to filter your data, view record details in Kanban cards, and change record state by dragging cards to another lane. 

Customizable Dashboards 

• Access your data using the Dashboard Visualizations, create reports and widgets using the OpenSearch based tooling and reporting. 

Keycloak integration 

• Single Sign on integration with Keycloak which implements identity and access management protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and SAML.  

Full text search 

• New full text search support introduced with the new user interface. 

New Available Schemas 

• IBM ClearQuest EssentialSAFe schema is a full featured schema which ships with IBM ClearQuest 10.0 and helps team follow Essential SAFe®. 

• You can use the ClearQuest® Agile schema to follow agile project practices and product managers to track the project's progress. 

Rich text support 

• The Rich Text Editor support allows users to use highlighting, bulleting, font changes, and other text changes to bring emphasis to selected text fields.  Mention coworkers by using @ or record numbers by using #.   

Invite Users 

• Manage access to your project by inviting users to join the system and control access to each project, without having to use the administration client.    

New support for backlog and requirements management 

• There are new packages and schemas that allow you to manage your backlog, request and track approvals, as well as manage your requirements.  For the requirements management, Gantt charts and timeline views help to visualize your plans based on start and end dates. 

Bring your own Java 

• ClearQuest will use whatever JRE is already installed on your system.  

• New panel in the installation used to tell ClearQuest which JRE to use, providing customers with the ability to update Java as soon as a security fix is available.
