Abstract
This fix pack is a cumulative release and addresses some new APARs and internally found issues since the release of IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact Version 7.1.0 Fix Pack 28
Prerequisites
This fix pack includes all maintenance since the GA of Impact V7.1.0. This fix pack can be applied directly to the base V7.1.0 product release or any previous fix pack or interim fix level.
NOTE:
- Upgrading to 7.1.0.4 is required when the Impact version to be updated is at 7.1.0.0, 7.1.0.1, 7.1.0.2, or 7.1.0.3
- Before performing the installation or the upgrade of IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact, download the attached 7.1.0-TIV-NCI-FP0029-README file and review the section "3.0 Installation information" and associated subsections.

Enhancements:
- The GetHTTP function was updated to enable preemptive authentication by default
The default value for the AlwaysSendAuth property was changed to true.

In previous releases, the MySQL data source was configured to always look for the "org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver" JDBC class.
The class field can be modified from a new JDBC Driver Class field found in the MySQL data source editor.
