PH49741: ABEND0C4 IN DFHDSWR + X'868' FOR STAT TRANSACTION DFHDS0002 CODE 110A IN MODULE DFHDSWR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using the default DFH0STAT program.
  When running the STAT transaction. This completes fine, and
  produces the reports fine, however there is also an abend0c4
  pic11 taken in DFHDSWR at offset + x'0868', when the following
  set of options are used:
  - CICS region is started with SIT override TCPIP=NO
  - STAT transaction, statistics panel's Report Selection has
    TCP/IP set to Y.
  In this case a couple of dumps are taken similar to the
  following:

  A CICS internal trace taken, shows the abend occurred while
  collecting resource statistics for resource type TCPIP, followed
  by an invalid token got back for an INQ_RESOURCE.

  In the dump Module DFH0STPR + X'6D06' has issued EXEC CICS
  EXTRACT STATISTICS. . Here is the exception trace:

  CICS region was started with SIT override TCPIP=NO but STAT
  transaction, statistics panel's Report Selection has TCP/IP set
  to Y. The statistics report was printed for TCP/IP as a result,
  but with the uninitialized values in the TCP/IP SSL handshake
  fields.
  Abend can be observed with commands EXTRACT STATISTICS TCPIP and
  COLLECT STATISTICS TCPIP, when SIT override TCPIP=NO.
  Abend messages DFHDS0002 and DFHDS0001 were printed in job log
  while collecting resource statistics for TCP/IP.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS has been changed to populate the TCP/IP SSL handshake
  fields with zeroes when SIT override TCPIP=NO.
