Answer
Descriptions of the changes are organized by version-specific tabs.

Eclipse 4.25
The IBM® Rational ClearTeam Explorer (CTE) plugin offering now supports Eclipse 4.25.
Microsoft Visual Studio integration enhancements
- After integrating IBM® Rational ClearCase 10.0.0.1 with Microsoft Visual Studio, projects added in ClearCase® now show glyphs and context menus when you open a project in Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and later versions. Additionally, now you can check out the project. For more information, see technote https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6619671.
- After integrating ClearCase® 10.0.0.1 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022, you can now create a new project from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 UI. You can still create a new project from Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 after clearing the cache or resetting the user data.
Installation
On UNIX, the SMTP Mail server hostname field is removed from the IBM® Installation Manager panel as it is not used.
New platform support
For platform requirements, see the Software Product Compatibility Report (SPCR) tool.
Status of the feature level
The ClearCase® VOB feature level is unchanged in this release. For more information on feature levels and ClearCase releases, see technote https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/73065.
Changes to automatic views
The functionality of the automatic views feature is unchanged in this release. For more information about automatic views, see technote https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/257649.
V10.0.0
Core ClearCase UNIX platforms
- In ClearCase® 10.0, the product has been upgraded to be a 64-bit application on the Core ClearCase UNIX platforms. As a result, Oracle Solaris SPARC, Oracle Solaris x86_64, IBM AIX, and HP-UX are restored to the release to help support customers with legacy needs for these platforms.
- The UNIX platforms (Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86_64, AIX, and HP-UX) support all components except Web/Java-based components and Eclipse-based features. For more information about the features not supported in the UNIX platforms, see IBM Documentation.
- For HP-UX, only the ClearCase® licensing model is supported.
Licensing
For ClearCase® 10.0, IBM Common Licensing version 9.x is supported. For more information about the version level for the IBM Common Licensing tools (such as the License Key Server) and supported platforms, see the Software Product Compatibility Report (SPCR) tool.
Installation
For the IBM® Rational ClearCase installation on Linux and Windows, you must have a 64-bit Java Runtime Environment (JRE) specifically for Java 8 installed before you install ClearCase. For more information about the Java Runtime Environment requirement, see IBM Documentation.
Semi-live reformatVOB
Semi-live reformatVOB (SLRV) allows customers to upgrade the schema version of a VOB or decrease the size of a VOB database without all the downtime required by the standard IBM® Rational ClearCase reformatvob functionality. This feature provides the ability to reformat VOBs with a much shorter lock time while the reformat dump and load process occurs in the background allowing normal day-to-day activities to continue until the team is ready to lock the VOB(s) and perform the cutover process of moving to the reformatted VOB database. For more information about the semi-live reformatVOB, see IBM Documentation.
Schemas supported
In ClearCase® 10.0, schemas 54, 55, 80, and 81 are supported. For more information, see IBM Documentation.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
To review our recommendations for running ClearCase® on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), see the IBM Rational ClearCase in GCP white paper.
NetBeans integration with ClearCase
ClearCase® 10.0 introduces an integration with the Apache NetBeans IDE (integrated development environment) so that now you can use ClearCase operations from the NetBeans IDE. The NetBeans integration with ClearCase is supported only on the Windows platform and the integration is available at IBM WebSphere, Liberty, Java & DevOps Community. For more information, see Using ClearCase Support in NetBeans IDE.
Documentation
The guide to building software on Linux/UNIX and guide to building software on Windows content is available in the documentation for ClearCase® 10.0 on IBM Documentation.
New platform support
For platform requirements, see the Software Product Compatibility Report (SPCR) tool.
