The tables highlight key issues and related technical guidance for issues with 11.7.1.4. DataStage issues:

After upgrading Information Server from a previous 11.7.1.x release on Windows, the system(s) should be rebooted to prevent usage of a cmd window with old Path entries.

A step was added to the end of the https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6496971 which is:

5.15) Reboot systems before another fix pack or service pack is installed

 For Windows installations, after Information Server 11.7.1.0 or 11.7.1.1 is updated to Information Server 11.7.1.3, the systems should be rebooted before a patch, Service Pack or Fix Pack is applied.

DQEC issues:

After the system upgrade,  re-index does not work for DQEC for microservices install. 

Description of problem, recreation instructions:

  1. Tried to reindex the DQEC

  2. https://<host>:9446/ibm/iis/dqec/rest/reindex

Error:

"No message body writer has been found for class java.rmi.RemoteException, ContentType: text/html"

Solution: 

Delete the solr-0 pod using command like

kubectl delete pods solr-0

There are a number of known issues in the new Administration console. These are listed in the documentation for the new Administration console. 6557242
Unable to use Information Server (on UNIX with WebSphere Application Server Liberty) after it is upgraded to Information Server version 11.7.1.3. 6515220
If you upgraded Information Server to version 11.7.1.3, the Desktop icons for "Web console for IBM InfoSphere Information Server" and "IBM InfoSphere Information Server Launchpad" might appear as empty on your desktop
You can do the following steps to make the icon be displayed:  See Reference
  1. Right-click the icon
  2. Click Properties
  3. Click Change icon
  4. Select Ok
  5. Select Apply
On Red Hat Linux 8.5 and later installations, the Install log might contain many error messages indicating a syntax error; an unexpected end of file while importing function definition for `which'.

To avoid the problem, do one of the following:

  1. Unset the 'which' shell function definition by running the following command: unset which

  2. Move or remove the shell initialization file /etc/profile.d/which2.sh or /etc/profile.d/which2.csh, depending on the shell of your choice, and initialize the shell session such that the BASH_FUNC_which%% variable is not exported.

InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager issues:

Installation issues:

Db1 11.1 is not supported as a preinstalled Db2 instance for suite installation.

ISALite issues:
In SLES 15, netstat command has been deprecated, due to which ISALite failed to collect logs for InformationServer DataStage Engine  ISALite has to be changed to stop using netstat command because it is deprecated. There is no work around at the moment. ISALite needs to be changed for SUSE Linux to stop using Netstat command
In RHLinux,PXRuntime failure will be reported in the ISALite collections.  

ISALite has to be changed to stop testing for PXRuntime jars. Please ignore the PXRuntime failure error in the collections report.

Microservices Tier issues:

Quick Scan issues:

The installation of 11.7.1.4 removes all Solr collections. Collections created for Quick scan cannot be recreated; if you need your prior Quick Scan results (in Solr collections), do not install 11.7.1.4. Contact support.
SAP Packs issues:
Description Reference
On Windows 11 client: SAP Packs cannot be installed on Windows 11 as there is a dependency on NW RFC SDK7.50 (NetWeaver RFC Library and SDK ) which needs to be addressed by SAP. For more information please check: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2573790

There is no workaround

SAP needs to release a new NW RFC SDK  7.50 that supports Windows 11 Client.
