Problem
Planning Analytics Workspace forecasting feature is slow: forecasting on 100000 lines takes several hours.
Cause
There is no coded limit to the number of rows that can be used for on-demand forecasting. However, the current expectation is that this feature would be used by users (not administrators) for few rows (for example, on the scale of hundreds of rows, thousands of cells).
Development is working on baseline forecasting, which would be better suited for forecasting across 100,000 rows of data (with better visibility on progress, and row by row errors).
There is no ETA and the Planning Analytics Workspace version that would introduce this feature is not known currently.
Resolving The Problem
Reduce the number of rows to be forecasted.
