Problem
It should be noted that the script that is used to integrate IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) 10.1.1.0 with IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) B2Bi fails to load all required JARs.
The script 'InstallWTXService.sh' adds certain JAR files to the SI configuration, but fails to add the required m4base and adapterdriver.jar files.
Any business process that attempts to call a map could very well report the error message - 'error com.ibm.websphere.dtx.dtxpi.MMap (initialization failure)'.
Symptom
After running a business process and then reviewing the results, the following error may be observed for the ITX mapping step: 'error com.ibm.websphere.dtx.dtxpi.MMap (initialization failure)'.
Cause
The script 'InstallWTXService.sh' adds certain JAR files to the SI configuration, but fails to add the required m4base and adapterdriver.jar files.
Environment
IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) 10.1.1.0 integrated with IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) B2Bi on the AIX platform.
Diagnosing The Problem
After running a business process, if an error does occur on the ITX Transformation step, review the SI Status Report for this particular step or, if enabled, the wtxlogger file. The following error may be observed for the ITX mapping step: 'error com.ibm.websphere.dtx.dtxpi.MMap (initialization failure)'.
A check of the dynamicclasspath.cfg and dynamicclasspath.cfg.in files will show that although the dtxpi.jar, xds4j.jar, dtxxmlfn.jar and m4si.jar are correctly referenced, the m4base.jar and adapterdriver.jar files are missing.
Resolving The Problem
Add the m4base.jar and adapterdriver.jar files to the dynamicclasspath.cfg and dynamicclasspath.cfg.in files manually or install Fix Pack 1 (ITX 10.1.1.1) and re-execute the InstallWTXService.sh script.
Any change made to dynamicclasspath.cfg and dynamicclasspath.cfg.in files requires a restart of SI for the change to take effect. If you manually edit the dynamicclasspath.cfg.in file, it is suggested to run the setupfiles.sh script and restart SI.
