Error description

  • Refresh of Alert configuration fails with "Not authorized for
ULOG".

This occurs when TSOAUTH CONSOLE access is not in place and SDSF
access checking takes place with z/OS V2.5, because SDSF no
longer returns ULOG as an authorized command.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure user interface might display an *
*                      error message when alert configuration  *
*                      refresh request is made.                *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

When interactive zSecure user does not have 'ULOG' SDSF
authority but does have 'SLASH' authority, the zSecure Alert
user interface displays an error message which states "Not
authorized for ULOG" in cases where the alert configuration
request is made.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Alert configuration interface has been modified, so it
takes into account the 'SLASH' SDSF authority when the user's
authority to execute the alert configuration refresh is being
verified.
