Problem

A Powershell script that creates a back up a folder structure fails with an unauthorized access error

Symptom

Error thrown by Powershell:

File Backup.ps1 cannot be loaded. The file \Backup.ps1 is not digitally signed.
You cannot 
run this script on the current system. For more information about running scripts and setting execution policy, see about_Execution_Policies at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=135170.
  + CategoryInfo     : SecurityError: (:) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException
  + FullyQualifiedErrorId : UnauthorizedAccess

Cause

An inspection of the file indicates that it is blocked due to a security setting

Resolving The Problem

To resolve the problem:
  1. Right click on the file and choose Properties 
  2. On the Properties window, click Unblock.
