IJ41240: DELETING ITEM IN PR LINES DOES NOT DELETE THE DATA FROM SPECIFICATION.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Deleting an item in PR Lines tab does not delete the data from
    the Specification tab.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1) From Item Master
    application, create the following new item.
    
    Item :
    TESTITEM
    Description : Test Item
    
    2) On Specifications tab,
    click Detailed Menu for Classification and select "Go To
    Classifications".
    
    3) Click "New Classification" and specify
    the following values.
    
    Classifications: TESTCLASS
    Description :
    Test Class
    
    4) In "Use With" section, add the following
    rows.
    
    Use with Items
    Use with PR Lines
    
    5) In "Attributes"
    section, add the following row.
    
    Attribute : AREA
    
    6) Save the
    record and click "Return with value".
    
    7) Back in Item Master
    application, save the record.
    
    8) From select action menu,
    choose item/organization details and change the status active
    for the organization.
    
    9) From Purchase Requisition
    application, create a new PR.
    
    10) On PR lines tab, add a new
    row with the following values.
    
    Item: TESTITEM
    Conversion
    factor: 1
    
    11) Confirm the attribute has been added on the
    specifications tab as expected.
    
    12) Go back to "PR Lines" tab,
    delete the PR line which was added at the step 10) and save the
    record.
    
    RESULTS:
    The attribute still remains on the
    specification tab.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    The attribute should be
    deleted.
    
    PRODUCT VERSION:
    Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2
    

Local fix

  • The problem does not happen if saving the record before
    deleting the PR line at the step 12).
