corresponding target catalog PATHSCHEMAS column of
SYSIBM.SYSENVIRONMENT table has the same quoted string that
contains quoted path names as shown in the example.

    Example)

    """SYSIBM"",""SYSFUN"",""SYSPROC"",""SYSIBMADM"",""DB2ADM4"""

    * PATHSCHEMAS change when the SET CURRENT *
    * PATH value in the DDL and the *

    * same quoted PATH names. *
    ****************************************************************
Object Compare should not report a PATHSCHEMAS change when the
SET CURRENT PATH value in the DDL and the PATHSCHEMAS column of
the SYSIBM.SYSENVIRONMENT table have the same quoted PATH name
    that includes ','.

    Example:

    Quoted PATH names in DDL:
    """SYSIBM"",""SYSFUN"",""SYSPROC"",""SYSIBMADM"",""DB2ADM4"""

Erroneous logic causes Object Compare to prepend the DDL's PATH
value with repeated SYSTEM PATH name(s) before the comparison,
    as follows:

    "SYSIBM","SYSFUN","SYSPROC","SYSIBMADM",""SYSIBM","SYSFUN",
    "SYSPROC","SYSIBMADM","DB2ADM4""

    Keywords: PATHSCHEMAS, SET CURRENT PATH

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is resolved.

This APAR introduces the informational message ADB7400I to
notify users about the existing Object Compare behavior:

ADB7400I Object compare prepends SYSTEM PATH names SYSIBM,
SYSFUN, SYSPROC, and SYSIBMADM in the SET PATH statement of the
compare source if SYSTEM PATH names are not explicitly
    specified in the compare source.
