Error description

  • After a loop ( AICA) processing on an X8 or X9 TCB ( running IBM
transformation extender code using XPLINK) , CICS ends up with
repeating 0C6 abends as each new task tries to use LE because
the CICS to LE interface is no longer operational.

Various symptoms can occur after the AICA recovery has been
    processed by CICS :

DFHPG0001 An abend (code ---/AKEA) has occurred at
    offset X'2E70' in module DFHPGPG.

DFHKE0002 applid A severe error (code X'0506') has occurred in
    module DFHKEDS

DFHSO0002 applid A severe error (code X'0C48') has occurred in
    module DFHSOLS.

This 0C6 abend is a repeating abend because the LE environment
associated with the QR TCB is no longer operational. Each time
a new task tries to run and access LE it will get the same
    abend.

    * is unavailable on the QR TCB. *
    ****************************************************************
After a loop ( AICA) processing on an X8 or X9 TCB ( running IBM
transformation extender code using XPLINK), CICS ends up with
repeating 0C6 abends as each new task tries to use LE because
the CICS to LE interface is no longer operational.

APLXREC should have restricted its clean up work for the open
TCB of the failing program that caused APLXREC to be driven.
However, in the reported problem, that TCB was unusable and
it was forced to use the QR TCB incorrectly. As a consequence
the ERTLI CICS-LE interface on QR was lost.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHAPLX1's recovery routine has been amended to preclude the
aforementioned scenario. It will attempt to switch to the
abending TCB but if that fails, it will not terminate the QR to
    LE370 interface.
