IJ40864: USING THE COPY PR LINE ITEMS TO PO MENU OPTION IN PURCHASE ORDERS APP DISABLES FUNCTIONALITY IN UI

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a field is made a required field (Lets use Freight Terms)
  when you try and use the More Actions> Copy PR Line Items to PO
  and try and select some PR lines and Click OK you will get the
  following System Message
  
  "BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Freight Terms field on
  the PO object."
  
  If you Click OK you can attempt to click to add/remove lines
  however the UI does not seem to respond as expected and pr lines
  disappear
  
  This requires a specific scenario to replicate:
  The po is created in the PO application and
  there is
  also NO vendor entered on the po.
  
  
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Go to Application Designer.
  
  2. Open the PO app.
  
  3. Access the properties from the Freight Terms field in the
  main tab.
  
  4. Make the field required and save.
  
  5. Go to PR application.
  
  6. Create a PR with VENDOR=BURSAW and 2 line items CHARGE TO-GL
  Debit Account 6000-100-200.
  
  7. Approve PR.
  
  8. Go to PO application.
  
  9.. Create a new PO and do NOT fill a Vendor.
  
  10. Fill in a value for the required field Freight Terms.
  
  11.Under More Actions, click Copy PR Line Items To PO.
  
  12. Filter for pr created above and then select Select All
  checkbox that check BOTH lines simultaneously.
  
  13. Click OK
  
  
  RESULT:
  
  BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Freight Terms field on
  the PO object. message error will be thrown.
  
  
  
  14. Click OK in the error dialog deselect Select All checkbox
  and select one line
  
  Click OK
  
  BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Freight Terms field on
  the PO object. message error will be thrown.
  
  Click OK and then select BOTH lines again or the other line and
  click OK
  
  
  Repeat steps 12 - 14 and eventually you will see a line from the
  pr disappear from the dialog box after the second or third
  attempt.
  
  EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
  
  The system message is erroneous as the required field is filled
  in and pr line should not disappear from the dialog box.
  
  The chosen pr line should copy to the PO Lines tab without
  issue.
