Troubleshooting
Problem
After applying a minimum summary to a report, some groupings show the minimum value and others do not have a minimum summary row.
Example: The Montréal and Toronto Group levels do not have a summary row.
Diagnosing The Problem
Review the tabular data of the query and see that both Montréal and Toronto have records with a zero value.
Looking at the properties of the list, see that the Suppress property is configured to suppress zeros.
With the rows with zero values suppressed from the list, displaying the actual minimum summary is also suppressed making the report look incomplete or incorrect.
Resolving The Problem
The solution will depend on the business requirement.
Business users need to know if the minimum value is zero for a group, then do not apply suppression in the list properties. | Business users need to the the minimum non-zero value for a group, then add a filter to the report (example: [Orders <> 0]) |
