Affected Domain

Existing Clouds with upper- or mixed-case names.

Description

Changes were made in R9.2 multi-cloud support, to only allow lower-case Cloud names.
Existing Clouds that were created using upper- or mixed-case names will fail on R9.2 bundles lower than 9.2 SP2 - 89.22.17.0
Additional mitigation is required for TS7700 Clouds using upper- or mixed-case names.

Mitigation
To avoid, or recover from, this condition on R9.2 bundles below SP2:

For upper- or mixed-case Cloud connections other than TS7700:
  • Use rmcloudserver to remove upper- or mixed-case Clouds, then mkcloudserver to recreate the Cloud connections, using only lowercase naming.
For upper- or mixed-case Cloud connections using TS7700 with Feature Code 5282:
  • Contact TS7700 support for assistance.

Fix:

DS8900F:
R9.2 SP2.2 - 89.22.19.0
R9.3 GA - 89.30.68.0 or higher

TS7700:
VTD_EXEC_387 expected to release end of July, 2022
