IT41261: AN UPDATED ACCESS KEY CANNOT BE APPLIED TO THE EXISTING REPOSITORY SERVER WITH "UNABLE TO GET CLOUD PROVIDER" ERROR

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The object agent node is updated on Spectrum Protect server, so
    a new access key / secret key is generated. When trying to apply
    the updated access key to the existing repository server in IBM
    Spectrum Protect Plus GUI through either of below steps, both
    receive "Unable to get cloud provider. Please check virgo log
    for details" error.
    
    1) Update existing access key with new value, then edit the
    existing repository server and click Save button
    2) Create a new access key and assign this new key to the
    existing repository server, then click Save button
    
    Changing access key in either of above steps has no effect. Same
    old value of access key is being sent to the backend.
    
    Versions affected: 10.1.9 and later versions

Problem conclusion
