    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Shared sender channels may immediately *
    * begin using the long retry interval *
    * (LONGTMR), even when a short retry *
    * interval (SHORTTMR) is defined in the *
    *                      channel definition.                     *
    ****************************************************************
    After a previous channel failure, the long and short retry
    counts are updated in memory but not in DB2 for the coupling
    facility.
    When a subsequent channel failure occurs, the long and short
    retry counts are read from DB2 and it is possible for the short
    retry interval to not be used at all.

Problem conclusion

  • The short and long retry counts are now updated in DB2 after
    a successful batch has been processed on the shared channel.
