APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When IMS rejects a message with some sense code and the queue
manager will then try to put the message to the dead-letter
queue but the page set where it resides is full, CSQ2004E is
issued with the reason for failure (MQRC=2192).

Then the process which gets messages from the IMS Bridge queue
will end, and it will be restarted by get-disable/enabling
the IMS Bridge queue or restarting the queue manager.
Stop / start the TPIPE also solves the issue.

No specific console message is produced alerting that the
process which gets message from an IMS Bridge queue is not
    running any more.

This APAR was raised to issue a message alerting this fact, so
a System Automation tool can catch the message and notify about
    the concern.

    ****************************************************************
If the dead letter queue cannot be written to for a rejected
message, for example due to lack of space, IMS bridge processing
is stopped for the bridge queue concerned. Processing is only
restarted by GET disabling and re-enabling the IMS bridge queue
or restarting the queue manager. However there is no console
message to indicate which IMS bridge queue is affected.

Problem conclusion

  • Message CSQ2007I will now be issued in this case to provide the
name of the bridge queue for which processing has stopped.

The following information is added to the IBM Documentation for
    IBM MQ for z/OS:

    IBM MQ

    IBM MQ-IMS bridge Messages (CSQ2...)

    CSQ2007I
csect-name PROCESSING HAS STOPPED FOR IMS BRIDGE QUEUE q-name,
    XCFGNAME=gname XCFMNAME=mname TPIPE=tpipename

    Explanation
This message follows message CSQ2004E, for csect name CSQ2PUTD
failing to put a message in the dead-letter queue. The process
which gets messages from the IMS bridge queue ends.
The information provided in the message is:

    q-name
The name of the IMS bridge queue.
    gname
The XCF group to which the partner belongs.
    mname
The member name of the partner.
    tpipename
The name of the Tpipe used by the partner.

    System action
Messages on this queue are no longer processed by the IMS bridge
    on this member.

    System programmer response
To resume processing, GET disable and re-enable the IMS bridge
queue or restart the Tpipe for the queue.
