IJ40244: FIELD SIZE CONFIGURATION FROM THE FIELD-SIZE-CONFIG.XML IS NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED FOR GL TYPE IN IOT18 SKIN

Error description

• ERROR DESCRIPTION:
  Skin iot18 -  Field Size configuration from the
  field-size-config.xml is not working as expected for GL type
  
  PROBLEM:
  Field Size configuration from the field-size-config.xml is not
  working as expected for GL type.
  Basically the changes being made to the GL type in field-size
  config xml file are not taking effect in iot18 skin, however
  they are working fine in the tivoli13 skin.
  After upgrading to 7.6.1.2, you may experience the display
  cut-off of data in many of the application fields, across
  multiple applications using iot18 skin.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  Field sizes are defined in the
  <root>\applications\maximo\properties\field-size-config.xml.
  Open the field-size-config.xml file in a text editor.
  Search for the GL data type and change the size range that is
  specified for the field like below :
  
  <maxtype name="gl">
  <range upper="10" size="10"/>
  <range upper="11" size="150"/>
  </maxtype>
  
  Save the file.
  Rebuild and redeploy the .EAR files on the application server
  for your changes to take effect.
  Log into Maximo 7.6.1.2 and go to Work Order tracking, using
  iot18 skin
  Open any record and you will see that the GL Account field is
  not displayed in a 150 characters size
  
  CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
  GL account fields does not have the size increased as per
  configuration in field-size-config.xml for iot18 skin
  
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  GL account fields have the size increased as per configuration
  in field-size-config.xml for iot18 skin
