APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For Workload Mobility VMKernel adapter setting is mandatory
pre-requisite. We have to turn on vMotion settings in vmk1 and
turnoff vMotion settings in vmk2.
These settings are applied at source and target compute nodes.
These settings are not revered automatically after mobility is
completed.

code changes needed to disable the kernel adapter setting in
source and target compute node /host after workload migration is
completed

Problem summary


    

  • Use of CPS Workload Mobility results in permanent changes in ESX
 VMkernel configuration on source and target.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix is integrated in IBM Cloud Pak System Version 2.3.3.4
