Error description
If both Private and Persistent Situations for the same Historical Collection Group are defined, the results is a duplication of data written to the Warehouse.
Local fix
Disable either the Historical Collection for either of the Situations to avoid duplicate data written to the Warehouse
Problem summary
Creating Private Situations which collect identical metrics that is also collected by the Agent's default Historical Collection Situations will result in the Warehouse Proxy Agent exceeding its available resource limits and abnormally terminating. If an Agent is configured so that its Historical Collection data is available to both ITM TEMS and CP4MCM then excessive duplicate data will be uploaded to the Warehouse Proxy Agent causing the Warehouse Proxy Agent to run out of system resources resulting in its abnormal termination.
Problem conclusion
Corrected agent framework code to be capable of ignoring CP4MCM's direction to collect historical data while still performing all the other duties of a "dual mode" agent. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | service pack | 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0012
Temporary fix
Do not configure historical data collection in CP4MCM for any agent types that will be placed in dual mode.
