Problem
When custom SSL/TLS is set, a security alert might appear when we try to connect to TM1 from various tools (Architect, Perspectives, Performance Modeler, TM1 Web, ...)
This message happens either in a Planning Analytics environment that is secured with custom SSL/TLS, or that is accessing a Cognos Analytics environment that is using custom SSL/TLS.
This occurs when a web browser is involved in the connection process.
The error message is the following:
Security alert
Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. do you want to proceed?

This is a warning that is not blocking the connection.
Cause
Certificate revocation is the action of invalidating a SSL/TLS certificate before it has expired. An immediate revocation of a certificate should be done when its private key was compromised.
When a web client receives a server certificate it sends an OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) request to an OCSP server in order to check whether this certificate was revoked. If the web browser is not able to determine if it was revoked and if the web browser is configured to expect an OCSP response, then it throws this warning message.
Resolving The Problem
In order to disable the alert, follow these instructions:
-Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options.
-Click the Advanced tab.
-Scroll down to the Security section.
-Disable "Check for server certificate revocation*"
-Internet Explorer must be restarted for the change to take effect.

In case the company policies do not allow this change, the security team must be engaged in order to correct the server certificate: most probably the CRL (Certificate Revocation List) field is not correct.
