Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
    Screen Reader and Date Picker Accessibility Issues
    
    PROBLEM:
    
    Issue #1: Screen Reader cannot read empty DATETIME, DATE, and
    TIME Fields.
    Issue #2: Date Pickers are not Keyboard Accessible.
    
    
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE:

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Go to Work Order Tracking
    2. Open Date Picker for Target Start Date (or any DATE/DATETIME
    picker)
    3. Use arrow keys in attempt to change focus
    4. See that focus does not change
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Issue #1: When a DATETIME, DATE, or TIME field is empty, the
    screen reader user does not have a way to know which is the
    correct format to use for that specific field.
    Issue #2: When a Date Picker is open you cannot change focus or
    select a date using keyboard.
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Issue #1: Show screen reader user the correct format to use
    DATETIME, DATE, or TIME field is empty.
    Issue #2: Change focus or select a date using keyboard when a
    Date Picker is open.
