APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM: Cannot view pdf attachment having Japanese filename in
    iPhone/iPad/Mac Safari browser.
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE:
    1. Go to System Properties application
    Set mxe.doclink.securedAttachment = true
    2. Log into Maximo URL in Desktop
    3. Go to Work Order Tracking application
    Open a workorder (TESTPDF)
    Attach a document named as hello.pdf (TESTPDF1)
    Attach another document named as ?????.pdf (TESTPDF2)
    4. Click View both attachments
    Both files are downloaded. No problem to view
    5. Log into Maximo URL in iPhone/iPad/Mac Safari browser
    6. Go to Work Order Tracking application
    Open a workorder (TESTPDF)
    Click View Attachments - 2 attachments (TESTPDF1, TESTPDF2)
    Click TESTPDF1 (having English file name: hello.pdf)
    It will be downloaded - Can view
    Click TESTPDF2  (having Japanese file name: ?????.pdf)
    
    RESULTS: Cannot view TESTPDF2 (having Japanese file name)
    
    EXPECTED RESULT: Can view TESTPDF2 (having Japanese file name)
    
    REPORTED IN VERSION: Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
    
    AFFECTED APPLICATION (for Maximo Only): Any application using
    Attachment functionality
