Error description
Unable to start collections for DS8K device. Storage Insights receives the following response from the DS8K ESSNI service, as shown in the data collector's logs: <DC_Log_dir><UUID>/test_connection/xxxxx/traceEP*.log: 2022-04-12 13:38:55.863-0400 [PDC-2107.75LBX91] [AbstractDSCLI.getStorageImageList] [ERROR] error during retrieval of storage image list com.ibm.storage.ess.ni.exception.NIUnauthorizedServerException: completionStatus = 2 Additional info: Client # <name_removed> is using an account whose password is expired, so the following command is not authorized: id: <name removed> Src: (HMC1, 4), Dest: (HMC, 2), NIDomainService.getESSs():null, and failure code is 2 at com.ibm.storage.ess.ni.server.command.NICommandRouter.execu teImpl(NICommandRouter.java:250) at com.ibm.storage.ess.ni.communication.NICommunicationExecuto r.execute(NICommunicationExecutor.java:91) at com.ibm.storage.ess.ni.communication.extensions.server.NICl ientCommunicationExecutor.run(NIClientCommunicationExecutor.jav a:115) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:820) Given that the data collector is receiving the ESSNI server's clear response that the account has an expired password, this status should be reflected in the Storage Insights GUI so that a user can know how to fix the cause of these failures.
