Summary
In IBM Content Navigator 3.0.10 and later, the default viewer map uses the Daeja virtual viewer to preview text documents. The Daeja virtual viewer does not support viewing text documents and might not preview them correctly. Do the following instructions to create a viewer map that uses the HTML conversion viewer to preview text documents. This effort is only needed in IBM Content Navigator for versions up to and including 3.0.10. At version 3.0.11, the default viewer map uses the HTML conversion viewer to preview text documents.
Steps
Do the following to create a viewer map that uses the HTML conversion viewer to preview text documents:
- In the IBM Content Navigator administrator desktop, select the Viewer Maps tab.
- In the list of viewer maps, select Default viewer map, and click Copy.
- In the New Viewer Map dialog, enter the Name and ID. Click New Mapping.
- In the New Mapping dialog, select the appropriate repository type, or select All Repositories.
- Select the HTML Conversion viewer.
- Check the Preview only option.
- In the New file type field, enter "text/plain" and click Add.
- Click OK. Then, Save the new viewer map.
- Refresh the administrator desktop. Select the desktop to edit. Then, select the newly added viewer map in the viewer map field. Save the desktop.
