Problem
Monitor 8.6 installations using the 8.x subscription channel will attempt to upgrade to Monitor 8.7, even if an incompatible Maximo Application Suite core is installed.
Resolving The Problem
The Monitor installation must be reverted to 8.6.x. To accomplish this, login to the Openshift Console of your cluster and navigate to the Installed Operators menu. Ensure that the Monitor project is selected at the top of the screen, and select the IBM Maximo Monitor operator. Navigate to the Subscription tab, and edit the update channel to 8.6.x.
Next, connect to the Monitor database, and execute the following statement:
ALTER TABLE IOTANALYTICS.ENTITY_TYPE ADD COLUMN "IS_CATEGORY" BOOLEAN NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT FALSE;
Once the operator has finished reconciliation, the downgrade to Monitor 8.6 is complete.
