Does IBM Spectrum Protect Server support HPE StoreEver LTO-9 Control and Data Path Failover?
Answer
The HPE StoreEver LTO-9 Control and Data Path Failover is supported with IBM Spectrum Protect version 8.1.15.100 or subsequent maintenance release. The failover function is transparent to the IBM Spectrum Protect Server.
Supported libraries and drives:

- HPE StoreEver MSL3040 with firmware version 3290 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL6480 with firmware version 6.40 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 FC drive with firmware version N4Q1 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 FC drive with firmware version N4Q1 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL LTO-9 Ultrium 45000 FC drive with firmware version NCA1 or later
Supported Operating Systems:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) Server x64 7.9, 8.1 to 8.7
- Windows Server 2016 & 2019
The following device drivers are required:
- RHEL - lin_tape level 3.0.64 or newer
- Windows - HPE StoreEver LTO-7+ driver level 7.0.0.8 or newer
